Introduction
It is a two shade kitchen, where the wall elevations have been designed to be 'low key' with a show stopping, high impact island taking centre stage.
The perimeter furniture doors and drawer fronts are painted in a Cornforth White-matched colour, with a low sheen Raw Concrete Caesarstone worktop and splashback.
Process
The island is painted in our bespoke colour Storm Cloud, and features a walnut desk extension and a negative detail, designed to create horizontal dynamic, layering, texture, and visual appeal.
The worktop is in Caesarstone Symphony Grey - it has beautiful veining with just a tiny hint of sparkle - this is mitred to wrap around the island, forming the end panels.
Finished Project
The island has been designed as a simple and beautifully proportioned single structure, with drawers to one face and cabinets to the rear and a flush mounted hob. Views through the house, of the floor and natural light levels are maximised throughout the kitchen design.
Fully integrated cooling appliances by Gaggenau feature doors that end at floor level, so we carried this through the bank, emphasising the contrast to the floating drawer bank and island. 760 wide ovens and fridge ensure a grand scale.
