Great Shelford

Great Shelford

Introduction

We reconfigured the entire room of this period property, moving the main entrance to the archway, which is then framed by the two impressive oak cabinets, with mitred frameworks in single pieces of solid timber

Process

Our clients bought in late September 2012 - our brief was to create an interior that was both contemporary and timeless a ‘grown up’ space for cooking, living, and entertaining 17 people for Christmas lunch!

The deep indigo colour complements the European oak used throughout the kitchen.  The integrated fridge freezer cabinet and lift up cabinets also feature an elegantly considered cornice detail, and brushed iron handles.

Finished Project

The breakfast cabinet contains cereals, teas and coffees, jams, crockery, kettle and toaster concealed behind bifold doors.  This is a really useful additional workstation in a busy kitchen
